Enrichment Program
A one-way dual language program for native Spanish speakers is offered at Cannon Elementary. This program focuses on the student's ability to speak, read and write in both Spanish and English. It emphasizes challenging standards in the core content areas while enriching students’ development in both their first and second languages. The curriculum is aligned with the Texas State Standards in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies as well as aligned with the district’s Lead 2021 initiatives.
