Our dedicated librarian, Mrs. Brosi, is leading the charge to create amazing spaces for our Cubs. Congratulations on being awarded a Grant from our Education Foundation.

The staff at BCE continues to work hard and make no excuses. The following staff members were recognized: Ms. Mulkey in PreK Ms. Workman in Special Education Ms. Perry in kindergarten 💛💙🐻

Thank you to the Second Grade team and Dr. Cortesio & Specials team for a wonderful Math and Music night. The Cubs enjoyed playing math games with their families. The families enjoyed the Cubs performing Winter music. 💛💙🐻

Thank You to the Canafax Team for creating a beautiful lunch experience for the BCE staff! Mrs. Canafax treated the whole Bear Creek Staff to fajitas, tacos and two chocolate fountains! She also decorated the lounge with Joy! We are so lucky to have the best community partners.

The PTA event on Friday December 6th was a great night. Thank you Santa for visiting the Creek! Thank you BCE PTA for your hard work to make memories for the Cubs. 💛💙🐻

Mrs. Taylor’s Pre-K class were the recipients of the Squeaky Clean Trophy this week! They were so excited they squealed with joy!

This week after school, Student Council met to set norms for how student council will run, sign up for jobs that they can do on campus, and brainstorm ideas for future student council projects. 💛💙🐻 Ms. Bowen lead the students in their learning.

Dr. Schnautz, GCISD Superintendent, made a visit to BCE this week. He did not miss the opportunity to write his Santa letter while he was in the BCE living room. Thank you to Dr. Schnautz for bringing positivity and cheer to BCE. We are lucky to have you as a leader. 💛💙🐻

We are forever grateful to our community partners who support our teachers. A former teacher turned realtor dropped off treats for the staff today. We love the kindness. 💛💙🐻

The teachers at BCE work so hard and do so much for each other and for the Cubs. This week, we recognized Ms. Doolittle in 3rd grade and Ms. Brooks in 1st grade. They book give No Excuses. They support their teams and their students. They leveled up! 💛💙🐻

Happy December Cubs! We are inviting our Cubs to participate in fun with a calendar! Our staff loves to get to know one another and build community through fun calendars. We are excited to invite the Cubs to join. It is just for fun! We will start on Monday with a pajama day!

What is a teacher's favorite food? 🍎 🍎🍏🍎🍏 Thank you PTA for recognizing the efforts of the staff to join PTA. We are so proud of our Golden Apple award! Our staff loves the Cubs! 💛💙🐻

The Cubs got to enjoy a science program through a community partner, the Canafax team. We learned the parts of a hot air balloon: envelope and basket. It was so cool to watch the balloon lift from the ground. All the Cubs were able to get close to the balloon and look inside.

Our BCE Family is so proud of the Cubs. We have Cubs "out in the Wild" representing the BCE choir. Our Cubs are so brave! 💛💙🐻 Here are a few pictures of our Cubs in the wild at the GCISD Honor Choir concert! They did so well!

We love to set Cubs up for success by exposing them to their future. On November 20, Heritage Middle School Theatre class came to BCE to perform. This performance gives them A glimpse at middle school fine arts choices: Art, Band, Choir or Theater. Your future matters today.

🧰🔨🚜🚧 There will be maintenance taking place during the break at Bear Creek. Contractors will be working on replacing two chillers in the mechanical yard. They will continue through next week to have everything back on line for when we return after break. 💛💙🐻

Bear Creek Families, Happy Friday. We are excited to participate in the hot air balloon experience. Please send your Cub to school wearing clothes to be outside. We’ll be on the large playground, behind the wood chips. PK - 2nd: 8:00 am, 3 - 5: 9:00 am (Maybe earlier depending on the program length) 💛💙🐻

Inspired by the dedication of our staff. Ms. Davison is Leveling Up by setting high expectations for her class. Ms. Scuderi's dedication to helping the Cubs improve reading skills through dyslexia lessons is invaluable. Ms. Brosette impresses with her commitment to Bear Creek.

The Bear Creek Cubs welcomed Veterans and 3rd grade families to the annual assembly. Dr. Cortesio led the 3rd graders in singing and Ms. Vestal decorated the school with patriotic art. We hope all the Veterans who love the Cubs had a great day. 💛💙🐻

We are proud of the Cubs who continue the Creek Credo. They are getting on task as soon as teachers give directions, inviting new friends to play and finishing their work and turning it in. The hard work is recognized, the respect is felt and the kindness makes a difference.
